Hampshire Game Changers

“Hampshire Game Changers” is a Hampshire Player Pathway development programme for field players, designed to identify and nurture young talent across the county at an earlier stage.

Now entering its second year, the programme brings together U9, U10 and U11 players from clubs across Hampshire and provides a positive, challenging and inspiring environment led by Hampshire Player Pathway coaches. The aim is to stretch players, grow confidence, and develop their individual skills, game understanding and technical ability ahead of potential progression into the county system at U13.

The 2026 programme consists of four 90‑minute sessions, with revised timings to allow a short break between age groups and ensure each session is organised and runs smoothly. Players will refine core skills, be introduced to more advanced techniques, and learn how to apply them effectively within game scenarios.

Clear age classifications are now in place (see 'about Game Changers'), and Game Changers plays a key role in preparing U11 players for the Development Centre (DC). Talented U11s identified by our coaching team may be nominated a year early for the 2026–2027 U13 DC cycle.

⚠️ Important: Hampshire will no longer accept underage nominations for the DC unless the player has first been seen and assessed at Game Changers.
