Our portal allows you to keep your details and qualifications up to date. You will get automatic reminders when your first aid or other certificates are due for renewal, and you will get our coaches emails with news of coaching positions available in Hampshire as well as development opportunities

Welcome to Coaches' Corner!
We’re excited to introduce Coaches' Corner—a dedicated space on our website where coaches in Hampshire can find inspiration, share insights, and build a stronger coaching community together. Curated by our new Coach Development Officer, Jim East, Coaches' Corner will feature articles, tips, and personal stories that cover everything from innovative coaching methods to invaluable lessons learned on the pitch.
Jim brings years of experience and a genuine passion for coaching development, and he’s kicking off this section with an introduction post about his journey and vision for Hampshire Hockey. In his first articles, Jim dives into what has shaped his approach to coaching, as well as some of the best practices he's discovered along the way.
But Coaches' Corner is about more than just Jim’s experiences—it’s about your stories too! We invite all Hampshire coaches to contribute, whether you want to share a unique coaching insight, a funny or memorable coaching moment, or a breakthrough that changed the way you approach the game. Together, these stories will become a resource and a source of inspiration for coaches across the region.

Coach Selection Policy at DC or AC
Coaches are selected and appointed by the HHA Player Pathway Committee which is responsible for all aspects of the player pathway activities in Hampshire.
Hampshire is dedicated to the development of new and existing coaches and will, from time to time, organise coach engagement days or coach education activities. While these days and events are optional, preference will be given to coaches who attend these events.
While a coach’s preferences are taken into account wherever possible, when a DC centre or AC squad is not available, an alternative will be offered. AC coaches are unlikely to be offered a place with the same team for more than 2 consecutive seasons.
Coaches are expected to be available for all sessions but cover can be arranged if known in advance. Once a coach is contracted and the cycle has started it is up to the coach to arrange for cover, and any relevant payment, if they can't attend a session.
Coaches have to apply to be considered. All coaches must re-apply for every cycle.
Each player pathway activity cycle will include an induction evening which coaches are required to attend.
